Call Me Master.

I finally graduated from my Masters! Well,w e actually officially graduated last year, but the ceremony was held this year.

We started the Masteral program in Religious Studies with a Major in Catechetics in 2011.I was still a full time missionary for Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life at that time, with my work being with FLiQ Media. We just had our third child then, and our classes were every Thursday from 8am to 6pm. 3 classes of 3 hours each! Can you imagine?

In 2013 I moved to the House of Representatives working for Cong Lito Atienza, and my classes moved from Thursdays to Saturdays. Still 8am to 6pm. We had our 4th child that year too. And in 2014, when we finished with the project paper, the written and oral exams, I moved to YesPinoy.

Now, still with YesPinoy, with our 5th child, I marched together with my co-missionaries to get that MRS degree from Don Bosco Center of Studies. I am happy to graduate cum laude as well. Something I would never have imagined.

I would never have been able to do it without Des’ support (she even had to bring herself to the hospital one Thursday when I had class, because she was experiencing contractions with our baby. She gave birth soon after). And with the understanding of my children. Support of employers through the years. It was tough, but not impossible.

What’s next? Nice to see what doors and opportunities this will open. Hope we can really use this to spread the Good News even more. And how about another degree? Maybe continue my Law School? Maybe not.

Thank you again for your support, prayers and best wishes!
