I will deviate from my one-blog-a-day-during-Lent and write about a movie I just saw on Sunday (which doesn’t count in the 40 days of Lent).
I only got to watch The Secret Life of Walter Mitty yesterday, and only because the external drive wouldn’t connect to the TV, so we ended up watching it on Star (or HBO? I forget). It’s a good movie that tells you to get off your bum and do something.
It is true that most of our dreams remain in our heads, and our bucket lists remain in the bucket. We do not get that fire lit up hot enough to get off our chairs and actually do what we dream about, or check off the lists in our bucket. We can always cite one thing or another, but excuses are… well, excuses.
So I put up a picture of me at maybe 4 years old to remind myself that any childhood dream can still happen. We just have to get up and do something about them.
