Elections are just around the corner. People should think had about which political party they will align with going into the elections. One session we had at the IAF seminar was about the Parliamentary system of Germany. They had a chart about the representation of the political parties over the years. I decided to make one for the Philippines, after the EDSA revolution. Here it is:
The original UNIDO is now the LDP (with a couple of breakaways here and there). LAKAS has NUCD, CMD and KAMPI. The smaller parties that show up once or twice only are under Independent. And PMP for all intents and purposes is now UNA and which will be Binay’s party for 2016.
Nice to see that in recent years a party gets about 4 to 5 seats. So if you are in a slate of 12 (per party, not a coalition), make sure you are one of the 4 or 5 of your original party. More chances to win đŸ™‚
Good luck!
