It only took me thirty minutes from my house to the Batasan complex! I would have been there sooner if not for a tricycle “strolling” down the one-lane road. I went to the Batasan to witness the oath taking of Congressman-elect Lito Atienza and re-elected Congressman Irwin Tieng, both of BUHAY.
There were a bunch of other Party List representatives there, and it was chaotic and unorganized at times… which is odd considering it is the Speaker of the House who conducted it. You’d think they’d be more organized. But it got done. Congratulations! Though I do agree that they should have done the oath taking privately, and not like a mass wedding.
Excited for what happens next. And I guess I’ll have to blog about it… soon, but not yet 😉
