Yesterday was a day for life! I woke up the whole family at 6am, dragging them out of bed. A Friday + morning rush hour = a long time on the road to get from Antipolo to Pasay. Surprisingly, it didn’t take that long. We left later than I had planned, but still got to Cuneta Astrodome a few minutes before call time.
And already the lines outside Cuneta were going around the block. We had to squeeze through the crowds – Des, me, our kasambahays and 4 kids – to get in before I had to get on stage. When we got in we just had time to find our seats and I was called on stage.
There were fun numbers before all the speeches, and it was an awesome sight sitting on stage, seeing 8,000+ people fill the seats in the Astrodome. I got to speak too. And it was scary! I know I give talks in conferences, but this was a whole new experience. With a different set of people listening. I think Lolo Paddy’s genes just kicked in there for a few minutes.
It ended in high spirits. And the kids had a good time too!
On Monday, 135! Buhay Party List!
