There. It’s here for everyone to know. And it is NOT easy, I tell you.
There is a Starbucks at every corner here. On almost every floor of the malls. And within 5 minute walking distance of the office. So it is a big thing to boycott it.
Thinking back… I never even liked coffee until Starbucks came to Manila. I started drinking the Mocha Frap when they opened in 6750. And I remember the first time I had a cup of coffee, I didn’t sleep for three days. Ha ha. Now, I drink 2 or 3 cups a day and still sleep like a baby.
Anyway, why am I boycotting Starbucks? Check this.
Being pro-life isn’t just a slogan. It is a way of life. And it should be core to everything we do, say and even use. And this is one of my ways to join the pro-life battle.
Most multi-nationals are actually aligned with Starbucks in their anti-life beliefs. Can you imagine if we really boycott all of them? We’ll all end up HEALTHIER! Eating good food, non-processed, non-sodium, non-full of fat. Their anti-life policies even go all the way to making the world obese and unhealthy.
Now we go to CBTL. A few more minutes to get there from the office. And you have to cross the major highway. And it isn’t everywhere and all over the place. But it is good for the soul, as well as the body. And really, going to the core of it, who needs that much coffee anyway?
