AM Day 7 of 40 Days of Lamentations
PM Day 7 of 40 Days with Job
Chapter 2 of Servant Leadership
Repent, for God is merciful! I hear from some people that they did something wrong in their lives, and think God will not forgive them. So they run farther away from Him, and live a life away from Him. And of course, their problems get deeper and the hole they are in gets harder to get out of. But GOD FORGIVES! As long as we come to him (in Confession) with a pure heart and that willingness to change. God forgives! And, the lesson for us is, so must we forgive as well.
Expend ourselves for others. How much help should we give other people? Better question: how much love should we show other people? Is there really a limit? Expend yourselves in love for others. Just like Jesus. All the way to the Cross.
Like father, like son. I always get introduced as my father’s son. It is understandable, because I work for the community he founded. And it is not an issue with me. A lot of children have issues being “known” as the children of their own parents. They sometimes resent it, or are embarrassed by it, or maybe even pressured by it. I have no such qualms. I am honored! It makes me want to be a better person, and it helps me check my life to make sure I am on the right path. And that is only for my human father, what about my Heavenly Father? I have to work twice as hard to make sure I am on the right path. I do not resent being a Catholic. Nor am I embarrassed by it. I AM pressured by it, but only because I want to make sure the choices I make are in sync with my being a son of God.
I am my Father’s son!
