5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HISTORY OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
1. In 1974, the First World Population Conference in Bucharest, Romania tried to lay groundwork for transgovernmental intervention through birth control and family planning programs to market contraceptives.
2. In 1984, Mexico, countries reviewed efforts done in the last 10 yrs and advocated more effective birth control methods including direct sterilization. Yet, it declared that abortion would not be recognized or accepted as a method.
3. In 1994, the Third International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo where the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was a clear player, openly advocated
4. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when asked about reproductive health, admitted that it included abortion. The US with its Obamacare, aims as part of its MDG’s and global agenda, to legalize abortion in every country in the world. (Secretary of State Clinton Confirms: Reproductive Health Includes Abortion by Chris Smith, The Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues, April 22, 2009)
5. Reproductive Health is UN language to mean universal access to abortion. (See Position Paper by Dionisio Garciano on HB’s 17 and 812, April 29, 2008 for further discussion.) The terms such as “women’s rights”, “right to health”, reproductive rights”, “reproductive education”, “fertility regulation”, “family planning” “satisfying and safe sex” are meant to project a bill that wishes the good of our countrymen. These remain the UN language that is really value-free, radically feminist, and eventually anti-family and anti-God.
